This is LaToyia Figueroa. She is the 25 year old mother of a 7 year old and is 5 months pregnant. She has been missing now for 10 days and there has been no activity on her credit cards or cell phone during that time.

Well done you for posting the pic. As Pax and Mizkittay say, you never know who might be looking at your blog and recognise someone, or have some kind of useful info which may help.
Wouldn't it be really great if someone could organise all of us bloggers into a day of action of something. Each blogger, wherever thery are in the world posting just one pic and some info about someone who's loved ones are desperate for some information, any kind of information, about their whereabouts or welfare?
When you think just how many of us there are, blogging away every day and the numbers (sometimes huge) who read our words, surely only good can come from it?
Just a thought - there appears to be a bloggers day for all sorts of other things. Why not this one?
It's not about being black or white, but the fact that this "BEAUTIFUL, LATIN " women was carring a child inside of her womb, should be a good enogh reason for pepole to contintue & not stop this search, until she is found. I read the blog posts in reply to mine, and regretably, I was not moved by them although I can tell they are heartfelt comments. Come on, folks, lets put aside the idealistic thoughts and focus on being credible here. Thus, in furtherance of my previous comments on this "story," this case presents a miserable failure by left-wing, radical bloggers to bully a barely local news story onto the national news scene to make a point about race and media. As I've said repeatedly, this is not national news by any measure, and thankfully the national news broadcasts have dropped the story after just one or two days. This woman led a selfish, irresponsible, and dangerous life, just as her mother did, and she is now likely suffering for it in the same way. During the one or two days that this was on the news, the Natalee Holloway story did not receive quite as much attention as it usually had, but it is now back in the limelight once again because it is national news that people care about. No one cares about the LaToyia Figueroa case because it has nothing to do with the lives of 88 percent of the American public. Instead, the LaToyia Figueroa case is a clear and vivid reminder to the large majority of American families about how not to raise your children. LaToyia, who didn't have even $35 between her and Baby Fatha No. 2 for the insurance co-pay for prenatal care, turned around and went out with Baby Fatha No. 2 and bought fried seafood platters. This, in spite of claims that she was "hard working." This sort of behavior is more indicative of animals or savages than human beings. Let's get our focus back people, and concentrate our efforts on Natalee and other deserving people and let God's will take over the LaToyia case. The LaToyia case has been a huge embarassment to minorities and society as a whole--let's drop it. It has reinforced every negative stereotype and now has nearly everyone saying: "Stereotypes are the rule--let's not be confused by rare exceptions."

Please do not be distracted by him, concentrate on real issues, and if you are in Philly please keep looking for this woman. Do not give up hope yet. Oh, and if you happen to be in Aruba, also keep looking for that woman. Get my point?
The denial on this forum is remarkable. This woman’s lifestyle was distrubing and, thankfully, the Natalee Holloway case is dominating the national news and this story is relegated to the back pages of the local newspaper again. This political opportunism has backfired miserably on all of you who used this woman as a martyr. Now, of course, like any intellectually challenged, liberal bedwetter, you resort to cries of KKK and Nazi. This proves each and every point I’ve made here. You people have failed terribly in your efforts to find LaToyia. If you spent more time actually donating funds and energy to the cause, rather than sitting behind your computers like the bunch of selfish nitwits you truly are, LaToyia would have been found by now. However, because you are all so lazy, she’s probably dead and you have blood on your hands.
This is in regards to Mike's comments: You must not be a God loving human being. Passing judgment on a person as you did in your comment is not right. There should not be an effort of "prioritizing" missing women in America. Anyone not being able to find their loved one has the right to ask for help; I don't care what kind of lifestyle that person may have lived. Children, have a right to know where their mother is. I know I would hate for my children to grow up not knowing if I was DEAD or ALIVE. I will keep the Figueroa family in my prayers and pray for Latoyia's safe return. God bless you all, even you MIKE. The point I’m trying to make is that people attempted to use her as a martyr to make a statement about race and the media. The whole misplaced agenda, however, turned out to show this woman as an unsympathetic character, but more than that, she received favortism because her cousin is a member of City Council and her uncle is a city detective. There are over 50,000 missing people in the country, and how dare this woman receive favortism over others who are far more sympathetic people in their absence. This story should not have received any coverage other than a below the fold story in the local Philadelphia newspapers. The bigger story here is that if you lead an imprudent and dangerous lifestyle, as did LaToyia’s own mother, it usually doesn’t end well.
Furthermore, you people are being entirely hypocritical when you talk about Natalee going off with someone. I guarantee every woman on here has gone off with a man she met at a club, bar or on vacation. She hung out with the guy while on vacation and there was nothing unusual about what she did while in Aruba. If you women on here were killed everytime you hooked up with a guy you didn’t know very well, you all would have been dead at least 10 times. I know, many of you and your type went off with me, and all I did was long stroke you and sent you on your way.

You have no right to label Latoyia. You did not walk in her shoes. I don't care what kind of life a person lives; ALL PEOPLE who are facing horrific circumstances should be described as important..... Think about it Mike.... Latoyia's daughter is now without a mother. Not only is she without a mother, she doesn't know what happened to her mother, it's got to leave a hole in her heart.
I just pray that this case is solved and everything works out for Latoyia's family and friends.
I personally didn't know Latoyia or Natalee, but I care about BOTH of their families and pray that God will direct the authorities into the proper direction and these cases as well as the thousands of others are solved.

Finally, it’s over!!! Thank God. I told you people. This woman’s dangerous lifestyle finally catches up to her just as her mother’s did. If you people worked harder, she wouldn’t have ended up dead. Read all of my posts and learn from them. Also, the next time you USE a missing woman for one of your political causes, actually do something to help find her. You people, and your lack of REAL effort, have LaToyia’s blood on your hands. When you go through your day today, and every time you look into the sky for the rest of your life, think of me, think of LaToyia, and think about what little you really did to save her.
The outcome here was no big surprise as I've been saying all along. All of these people were trash. Baby Daddy No. 2 was a savage and LaToyia actually slept with this guy and made yet another illegitimate child, or at least tried, and then when they couldn't even scrape together $35 for the prenatal insurance co-pay, this animal allegedly stole a car and then killed her. Darwinian Theory at it's finest. Animals, pure animals. That's why this didn't deserve coverage--nobody cares about these evil people.

This guy has exposed himself to be just who I said he was all along--a guy who used a missing minority woman to try to make some statement about race and media. He obviously doesn't give a damn about missing women. How do you feel about Richard the Idiot's statement about Natalee? I am calling for everyone to Richard's site at the All Spin Zone to see how this guy is a complete scumbag.
RICHARD CRANIUM AND THE REWARD MONEY:
Where is the reward money? It was suggested by someone that Cranium arrange for the reward money to be turned into a Scholarship Fund for LaToyia's daughter. Cranium tried to get off that topic really quickly, and said "let's just get through today" as if he had some personal stake in LaToyia's death--what a joke. He's avoiding the subject about the reward money and I want to know if he will return it to the donors and why he is avoiding turning it over to LaToyia's daughter. The important question here is who has custody of these monies. I suggest they immediately be turned over to a reputable accounting firm for disbursement.

God's people are not trash! Regardless as to how one lives his or her life, we should not attempt to judge. God knew when and how she would die.
Life no matter how it is lived is precious to those close by. She worked and she did not waver from what she believed in. She died protecting and not wavering from her values and belief. Would it have been different if she aborted her unborn child? Who knows? Who are we to judge the character/heart of man. We all have lived in a manner that was not pleasing to all at some point in our lives. Does this give us the right to judge, no! Latoyia/Natalie was/is somebody's child. They are/were loved. Neither new the intentions of the individuals they came in contact with. Instead of behaving in a heartless manner, let's behave in a manner that is pleasing to God, not man. I can't believe the comments some of you people are making in reference to the death of a young single mother. What if God had permitted your mother to be killed while pregnant with you? You don't know what that child could of become, just as no-one knows what you would have become. That was the Lord's work. He just needed somemore angels up there with him and he took two at once. Just know that she is some place better than us. We have to stay here and suffer a little bit more by listening and reading and dealing with evil people. We just need to pray that God comes into our life and makes the best of all situations.
Also know that God doesn't make any mistakes. Don't get me wrong I am not happy about what happened by far of a chance, because that could me, being that I am a single mother of four. I just try to look at everything now as this had to be what God wanted. He will deal with the murder in his own way.
