TA DA!!!!

So I FINALLY got the pictures of the mocassins!

These are the ones that I made - ankle high boots in black moose.

These are the ones that Sioux made - knee high mocs in black.

One of the other ladies made these - they are the same as mine in natural moose.

We also learned how to make these. Our teacher called them "medicine bags" but Sioux and I were thinking they would make great sachets.

And these are the famous slipper mocs - these ones have a fringe detail but we learned how to make them without it for the guys.

So whatcha think?

WoW!! What fun!!
They look great! How do they feel on?

Phyllis - they feel pretty good actually. I was totally surprised. Without a hard sole bottom, these ones are really only for around the house and maybe runs to the store but it's not like I can't put a hard sole on them if I wanted to.

Intelligentsia - oh they are! We made a pair for my friend Sioux's hubby and he rarely is seen without them now. We found out that we can put a pair of slipper mocs together working as a team in a single day.

Oh jeez! What is it with the pop-up's over here?

Anyway (fave word) those moc's are bloody 'orrible. Burn them!

*just teasing*

I received a pair of handmade moc's a few years ago as a crimbo pressie and I loved them, until they fell apart.

I'm not so sure the medicine bag would have suited me though. Unless it was in shimmering green, of course.

I really like those slipper ones....they're nice...

I can't believe you made those!?! They're wonderful...did you figure out that design of beads yourself? or did you have a pattern?

Piggy - ok one shimmering green rhinestone studded medicin bag coming right up lol

Pax - hahahahaha 3 gross. You are quite a card.

Zoe - if you are really interested we can talk. I'll have to tracings of everyones feet first to make sure the sizes are right and it will probably get a bit costly. Adult ones are probably gonna run about $50 canadian (gawd only knows what that is in Euros).

Rowan - nah I have the pattern and I've figured out how to make a couple of other patterns too. I'm going to taking some lessons in beading from one of the other moc lesson women - she's Metis and beads like you wouldn't believe.

lost, $50 canadian dollars = € 36, but with all the import/export duty on top you may be right .... pricey :-( i shall survive my blue toes and look on at you with envy. you talented lass, you ;)
