Slowly but surely

So now that I'm healthy again, I've gone back to mocassin class and I've almost finished my first pair! Only a little more sewing to do and I'll have made myself a pair of shoes lol. I never really understood before the amount of work that went into making a pair of those things before lol. I have to get Sioux to take a couple of pictures of our mocs so that I can post them. BT says he wants a pair of slipper mocs now and Katie wants a pair as well. Seems like I'm going to making a few more pairs lol. Other than that, not much going on around here. I've found out that if you live in an apartment building, you don't get trick or treaters. Strange that, you figure the kids would be thrilled with that idea lol. Katie did get into the spirit though and dressed up as a native and handed out the candy at Sioux's place. She even brought some of that candy home to her dear old mum. :)

yeah you never get trick or treaters in the buildings, but usually the superintendent will take tenants candy and hand it out at the foyer for the kids.

We had no kids on our street really. One house told us we were the first to show up (6:30pm) and one of the last houses said that incl. us, there were only 7 kids all night - there was Emma, DAvid, Nicky and Samantha in our group.

You make slippers? Ooooh!

I can remember many years ago, when I was just a small Cute Wee Me, my mother used to knit, crochet and make these ugly rug type things from a kit.

Why don't people do craftworks/handiworks any more?
