Have I mentioned that moving sucks?

I told you I'd be back soon to bore your socks off (as the previous "brief" history no doubt did LOL).
So here I am living again in the birthplace of General Motors. I grew up here and it's an amazing thing to be living here again, although it's strange to see places that I remember so clearly looking so incredibly different. I suppose I'll get used to that. The best part is getting to know my old friends again, it's so nice to be able to visit someone for an hour or two and not have to try and pack in all the news for months into a single visit. LOL I'm really getting to know my friends S and D again, although we've never lost touch, it just seems better some how being able to drop in or have them drop in without making a production out of it. I've known D for over half my life now, I met him when I was 15 and he was the older brother of one of my friends. Heck, I was even the maid of honour at his wedding to S!
My internet access isn't quite fixed yet but in the interim we found a really really really cheap dial-up for a month to give us that computer fix we've all been so desperate for LOL. This is PAINFULLY slow though. I miss my DSL *whine whine whine*. BUT I"m back and trying to catch up with reading everyones doin's in the past few weeks and holy crapadoodle you lot have been busy!!

I'm all moved in now (FINALLY) All the boxes are unpacked, all the clothes put away and just some puttin up of pictures and cleaning out the garbage left to go. Let me just add that I am now the Queen of Storage Room packing and if anyone wants anything from the back of that room? Too friggin bad LOL.

Katie started at her new school and has made some new friends already. She seems to like it and she's even starting to get the hang of the bus system here - gotta admit though I still drive her and pick her up if I have the car and the gas. I was kinda worried about her for the first week - you know, new school no friends new city but she really is a trooper and seems to love it that she hardly knows anyone and none of them grew up with her or know that she has a brother. It was a problem at her old school that EVERYONE knew she was Jamie's sister and bugged her about him. Maybe she'll even take an interest in boys now - even though I'm not really sure if that's a good thing LOL.

I'm going to start on the moving saga tomorrow. So fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy ride. LOL

Dial up, eh?

*struggles to stop laughing*

Anyway (fave word) it's FANTASTIC to see you back - even if it's from the slow lane. It'll all be nice and fast before you know it.

Maybe.

*laughs at Tony*

*decides to be merciful today and gives him a nice big hug, a slobbery kiss (one of those full-on, tongue-down-the-throat jobs), a squeeze of his lovely botty and finishes up by handing him a lollipop*

*watches as Tony eats the lollipop, before remembering it was found on the toilet floor and that the dog had been licking it*

Yay! You are back!!!

See what you've been missing?

Hopefully you'll still visit us "old and down trodden" friends from your old town still once in a while. Remember to write and use IM's all the time *nods in hypnotic way* it's a law!

We still miss you, but at least you are "virtually" back. *laughs* like my dishes are "virtually" spotless. yay for almosts!

Cool! You are back up. I feel your pain with CRAP dial-up!! I live out in the boonies, where there is no DSL service just phone lines and cable TV.

Did you tell Jamie where you were moving to?
