A call from outer space
Jamie called today. He's out of the detention centre and living in the youth shelter again. He says he's quite happy to be there since it's fun there not boring like it is here. Lovely. His court date is December 23 - Merry Christmas. He doesn't seem to have really learned anything from his stay in custody although he does say he doesn't want to go back to jail so I guess I should be thankful for small mercies. Hell he wanted to talk to his sister today which is unusual in itself. I want to go and rescue him, bring him home and let him start over but I know if I do that nothing will change. This is so hard.

What a tough few days! Wish I could help. Sometimes it is hard, but I think this is something he is going to have to handle on his own. But I know it hurts watching your kids make bad decisions. That doesn't mean that you are a bad mom, though. Cheer up, I am sending lots of positive thoughts your way!

Hang in there! What you are doing is right. It's just so hard to wait for the results of this tough time but it will be worth it in the end!
