Me.
I've never felt worse than I did today - leaving Jamie to the system. Seems Jamie told his Duty Counsel that there were no problems at home and that I would be THRILLED to come and sign a $500 bond to get him out of jail. I think it's going to be a hard hard lesson for Jamie to learn.

You are NOT a bad mother. You are trying to save Jamie from bigger messes than the one he has already made. Trust your instincts.
I too have a prodigal. In my case, a daughter. She has come home and straightened her act out. I just hope it sticks. I can relate. I was always so afraid and just when I thought things could not get worse? They DID. I found myself looking back on the good old days when her only problem seemed to be her chronic truancy. You are very brave to blog about your problem. Just know, you are not alone. Ellie
