Another day, another.....

Pumpkin pie. LOL

I've spent the whole day smooshing pumpkins and baking them into pies, bread, cookies, square and cheesecakes. By the time we are finally done, I'm never gonna want to SEE, never mind eat, another pumpkin LOL.

And apple season is starting too LOL. Next it'll be apple pies, cookies, bread, crumbles, sauce and butter. Ah the joys of canning and freezing. I have a freezer full of carrots though LOL.

It was the sound of life sucking. Hard.

My back has been mucho fu^kupey for the past few weeks. Now DoG knows I do like spending time on my back LOL but this was less than pleasant. How much less than pleasant you ask? Well I would rather have given birth than gone through this pain. All the doctor can say is that it is muscle spasms. Muscle spasms???? To have spasms like these I would need muscles like Hulk Hogan!!! Which I don't have , btw LOL.

Katie=o is back in school and quite enjoying it - well except for the "logic functions" course which sounds a hell of a lot like the algebra and calculus classes I ran screaming from in high school.

Her father the dipshit is here from BC or so we've been told because until tonight as a matter of fact we haven't had a single phone call, visit or email. His only child, he hasn't seen here since April and he's here three friggin weeks and not a peep. You know WHY he was here? His woman's daughter was having a baby. So there they are not even a 2 hr drive away for THREE weeks with HER kids and he can't be bothered to even email his own. What a turd. I sent him a really really evil email (on facebook no less lol) this evening letting him know what a real shit he's been and that he'd better smarten up or she won't want to have anything to do with him. Stupid turd. HER kids are trollops one and two and he has all the time in world for them. The oldest just had her first kid (and to be fair she is 21) and other is the same age as Katie but omg from the way she acts she's 16 going on 25 and I'll be very very surprised if she isn't having either a DnC or a baby by the end of next year.

ok enough venting lol. BT has had an offer from work. They would like him to go to Hawaii for a month to work in November. It IS a great opportunity and we could the money DoG knows, but omg red head in Hawaii. He'll come back just a bunch of freckles and blue eyes LOL. Ah well just have to wait and see I suppose, Krist knows the Union has buggered about lots of time before with him. (oh yea BT, the job will be for 2 months at least - oops we were wrong 2 days sorry bout that aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa)

Since my back has been better for a couple of days now (fingers crossed it stays that way) I've been doing some baking and canning. I baked some home made punkin pies with my friend, hell we even roasted the punkin seeds LOL She went picking some more pumpkins on the weekend so this week we are going to try punkin bread, cookies and possibly even punkin butter. I am going to get heartily sick of pumpkin LOL Next it's apples and I can hardly wait - I loves me some apple crumble yummmmmmmm

Tick Tock

Holy cow, it's been a week. Time has just flown. My friend Siouxie has been painting/decorating/clearing out her house this summer and we've been helping do all that. Hell I can find things easier in HER house than mine LOL. So this week the bank was sending an appraiser to the house and she needed help. So we spent a couple of days over there sorting things, washing curtains, putting stuff in the basement and generally just making the house look as good as possible. It worked well enough as they got the appraisal they wanted. Siouxie and Dan (her hubby) are trying to get ready for his retirement in December and she is NOT looking for to it lol. Dan is a great guy and I've known him since I was 15 (I used to hang out with his younger brother lol), he's been working at the same company (we live in Oshawa guess what company LOL) for 30 odd years but he's only 53 so I think he's gonna be bored outta his mind in about a month - He thinks he's never gonna have to work again lol.

Katie-o is home and happy as a clam that she never ever ever has to see that camp again lol. She was impressed that they gave her a bonus on top of what she was promised in her contract lol. Hey when you are 17, 100 bucks is 100 bucks LOL.

I've thrown my friggin back out AGAIN - I need to get the doctor to DO something about it cuz holy crap I can't stand this pain much longer. It hurts to stand, it hurts to sit, it hurts to lay down. *sigh* I wish I could wave a magic wand oooooo or maybe three wishes. I'd love to be healthy again - physically and mentally.

I am indeed back and trying to re-teach myself blogging stuff lol.

My back is better and I'm feeling perky today. Just have the horrors of housecleaning to catch up on cuz you know that no one else around knows how to wash a dish, floor or clothes LOL. Ever get a feeling that you are always always going to be a mom lol.

A big Happy Anniversary to Piggy and Tazzy - two people who really deserve each other and all the happiness they can get. Ah now they are making me all soppy LOL.

Katie has the cast off her foot (hooray) and is back at work (camp) for the last time and she's as happy as a clam that it's almost over lol. She was telling me that three of the councillors was fired last session for smoking pot in camp grounds. Major shock for the camp peoples as it is a church camp. lol

My little brother (he's 40 lol) is in Costa Rica right now - seems like a dumb time to go if you ask me I mean really central america in august?? I hope he';s having a good time - things haven't been glorious for him lately lol. He had a little problem *snicker* that caused him some pain. He had a testicular hernia - not funny I know this guys before you all yell at me but what makes the story funny is that he went to the doctor for it. The doc tells him to get up on the table but he can't cuz it's too painful so the doc just has him drop his drawers. Then the doc kneels in front my bro and is examining him. Scott tells me that all that was going through his mind was "I hope to gawd that the door is locked" LOL BT told him that he was lying and what was actually going through his mind was "don't get hard, don't get hard" hahahahahaha He's fine now but THAT story will live on for a while LOL.

In my neck. It was in my back and now I'm walking around like a whiplash victim. Gad I'm a loser lol.

Katie-o is back from camp for three days and the doctor took a new xray of her foot and hopefully she'll be able to take the darn thing off on Monday. Fingers crossed.

So I've been "facebooking" and wouldn't you know it, old friends are popping out of the woodwork. I didn't think it would be this much fun. Silly me. lol. It's sort of like your own personal BBS (now doesn't THAT show my age lol)

I'm still hating most of the world - other than my favorite bloggers, close friends and family. There has to be a word for it other than cranky LOL

Anybody know how to limbo?

Cuz it's hot hot hot. At this point it's nearly 40c outside ( well over 90 for you mericans lol) and we're all melting. Hell I've got air con and I"m still sweating. I feel sorry for roofers, road workers and those guys who pave driveways today. BT's job got called off today cuz it was too hot for the guys to be on a roof and on a crane and they were afraid they;d have guys hangin from their safety lines unconscious before noon. Nice to know the union is good for some things.

Milady Katherine is home from her job for a couple of days (between invasions of brats at the camp lol) and man oh man is she hating her job. But she got her first cheque from them and that has eased her hatred somewhat lol. I have to take Madam to the doctor to get her foot xrayed but she keeps leaving her Health Card at the camp and there is NO way I'm paying outright for the doc. Oh I guess I never told you about her foot. On her third day at camp she hurt her foot, the people at the camp (one who was the former nurse there!) said oh it's just a sprain, we'll wrap it in this tensor bandage and you can use these crutches for a couple of days. After THREE days, they notice her foot isn't any better so they take her to the hospital - guess who broke her foot? They were going to put a regular cast on it but she called me to ask if I would lay out 150 bucks for an aircast that she can take off and on. hahahahahaha I might actually have done it but not 5 minutes before she called BT had just come home with her birthday prezzie - a DSLite that cost just over 150. Lucky for her someone donated an aircast to that hospital and they gave it to her gratus. I need to take her to the doc so he can decide if it's healing right. The girl isn't eating right (she's lost nearly 20 pounds in a month!) and well I'm a mom so I worry.

Well i'm off to take a cold shower now cuz holy crap it's hot. hot hot hot - think i'll just samba my way to the shower now.

Passin the time

So my daughter is gone for pretty much the whole summer and I'm passin the time trying to make my apartment more livable. Katie comes home for three days about every ten days and it's absurd how much I miss her. She's 17 now and I should be really getting ready for her to be heading off for college in the next year or so. I didn't realize just how much I would miss her. *sigh* my little girl is growing up, hell who am I kidding - she's already grown. lol.

I haven't seen or heard from my son in two years now although Katie still has friends in Hamilton that she still talks to who say they see him around. He turned 20 this year and it just breaks my heart that I don't have any contact with him.

BT and I are still together and it's workin out well. Right now we're painting the walls, putting down new peel n stick tiles (over the ones that have been there since Noah built the ark) and replacing the dome lights in the hallway. I wouldn't normally replace lights BUT since I, um, damaged the ones that were there I have to fix them lol. It's so stupid - I was replacing the light bulbs since they both burned out at the same time... so there I was on a chair holding the glass dome with one hand and trying to screw the finial back on when my hand slipped and BANG the heavy glass dome fell, bounced HARD off the top of my head and shattered on the floor. Only me. lol. So I get down off the chair (trying NOT to cut my clumsy feet lol) and as I get the broom and am walking down the hall, I hit the OTHER light with the broom handle and smash that one too. what a mess. So I've been looking but, guess what, you can't just replace the damn domes you have to buy all new fixtures. I found some cheap ones today so woohoo I'll finally have covered lights again lol.

Hmmm what else...... Potsie and his fiance have moved out of the province. They seem to be very happy and I"m pleased for them. Pisses me off that he doesn't contact his daughter more but c'est la vie - she's old enough to deal with him herself now.

Well, it's late late late so I'm off to bed.

Maybe I Should change my nick to Phoenix?

Cause I seem to keep rising from the ashes - and at the same time of year too lol.

Nothing much changes - still living with BT and my daughter. She is away for the summer working at a kids summer camp and oooooo she hates it. Still have the two silly cats and one silly dog.

Having good days and bad days.

Hopefully someone still cares.
