Jamie and Katie
This is the first picture of Jamie and Katie together taken the day after Katie was born. It'll be Katie's birthday in 9 days and I'm starting to trip down memory lane. She'll be 15 on June 24th and she seems so grown up. Weren't they beautiful?

I had some wine one Wednesday night and held my Grandaughter in my lap. I cried! Their young lives hold so much promise and it's a mystery as to where life will take them. I had four kids. I promised myself that they would never know insecurity. That they would never feel a lack of love. That they would grow into secure and stable adults. This is the aim of all parents. Our hopes do not always reach our intentions. It is the gamble of every family. We can only do our best. And you will continue to do your best! They ARE beautiful.
Yes, they are, and he looks so proud of his baby sister. Hopefully that lasted.
My oldest son loved his baby sister so much when she was little, but when she grew up all they did was fight and bicker. Pfft.
How precious! That little boy looked indeed happy to be holding her!
God willing, the joy of that picture will come again. Jamie will straighten out his life - thanks for sharing.

everytime I see that picture, I think they really do love one another, just Jamie has some issues he's going to have to work on. I think if he lets himself, he can get past it and go back to his roots like I once decided I had to.
Plus, I didn't realize Katie was such a big baby! How much did she weigh at birth? I LOVE it when they're big, seem so much healthier than runty babies.
