The Post Office can kiss my........

Well finally got out and about today. The laundry was breeding in the hallway and I think laughing at me so I at least got some of that done. I also went to the Post Office to send out some things - see about a week ago a package that I sent to Zoe (of My Boyfriend is a Twat fame) was returned to me - from the stamps etc on the package I don't think it ever left Canada!!! I've rechecked the address and it's right so out it went again and I of course got to pay for it again. GD Post Office. I hate them. I also sent out a couple of other packages and the Christmas cards that I have written up. Do you have any idea what those bastards are charging to send a simple CARD to the UK???? Thankfully though, everything is sent out. I'm off to burn my paper replica of Canada Post now. hahahahahahahahahahahahaha oooo think I need to lie down lol.

What the fuck is an 'emu australie boot'? (I'm not even gonna look).

Would you believe the cost of sending a card from the UK to Canada? - I think we're being stung by the bastards at the post office just as much as you are. We share your pain.

Given that most of our cards were to Canada and the U.S this year, it's cost us an arm and a leg.

Still, it IS Christmas.

As the daughter of a postal worker, I have to laugh. During Christmas time, postal workers have to deal with a TON of annoying and stupid customers. They are doing the best they can, for little thanks (and certainly no money).
As I always say, if you think the Post Office is expensive, try FedEx!

Ah, but it's much cheaper if you don't send it airmail. From the UK that is. And apparently it only takes six weeks.

Six weeks? I could bloody walk there in that time!!!!! What do they do, attach it to the back of a tortoise???

Of all the store clerks and people in general I've dealt with during all the Christmas shopping these past couple of weeks, the one and only rude person I've come across was (go figure) at Canada Post. She was a right cow. (No offense to cows).

; )

I like to send my mail on the Slow Boat to China plan and then email people and ask them if they got their package.
What? Its only been 8 months since I sent it, any day now.
I loved your post on Dr. Laura.

It costs us 60 cents to send a letter to Canada and 90 cents to send it anywhere else. 37 cents in the US..

I was told that all mail went air anyway. THe Postal worker told me that...

that's what I heard too, everything went airmail now! Hence, why I still have not received my package from the states!!!!!! arrrgggghhhh!

Anyway, I hope everyone I sent cards to got them, so far, the only person whose acknowledged my cards in real life or in blogland, was piggy and tazzy! I'm sad, yes, I know!

I got your card yesterday. Thanks... Yours is still sitting here without a stamp, so chances are you won't get it before Christmas. :-(

Got your cards yesterday and yours should be in your box any time now. Since US stamps are going up in cost in a couple of weeks, I used several on your card. In a naive sort of way, I'll hope the extra postage will ensure you get the card sometime between tomorrow and before next Thanksgiving but if not, it might serve me as a time line as to when I should start sending them - maybe mid-February would work?

Either way, thank you so much for your cards! And Merry Christmas!
